Argentina: Gay couple legally recognised as fathers

A gay couple in Argentina have been legally recognised as the fathers of their baby boy born by surrogate. Alejandro Grinblat and Carlos Gustavo Dermgerd had a son named Tobias on June 29th in New Delhi. He was carried by a Canadian surrogate mother.


Malaysian gay couple hold wedding celebration

A gay couple in Malaysia have held what is considered to be the country's first gay wedding celebration. Ngeo Boon Lin, a Malaysian-born pastor and his new husband, African-American music producer Phineas Newborn III, celebrated with a front of a crowd of family members, friends and journalists.


Mitt Romney ‘supports rights of gay Scout members’

US presidential candidate Mitt Romney is against many gay rights measures, but he does back the right of gay people to join the Scouts. In 1994, he said that while the Boy Scouts of American should be free to set its own policies, he agreed that it should allow gay people to be members, staff and volunteers.
