Israeli committee to recommend legal surrogacy for gay couples

As a result of a gay couple's appeal to the High Court of Justice in Israel, a public committee which regulates issues around fertility and childbirth in Israel is to recommend changing current legislation on adoption, which excludes gay couples.

Activists in St Petersburg arrested for protesting against ‘gay propaganda’ ban

Police detained two men in St. Petersburg yesterday for protesting against the new law banning "gay propaganda". As a result, the men are likely to become the first to be convicted under said law.

State-run TV in Malaysia to ‘ban’ programmes featuring gay characters

The Malaysian Information Department has banned television shows which feature gay characters, starting with state-run channels. The country’s Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz said the ban would be effective immediately beginning with state-owned TV and radio stations.

Gay former cabinet minister Ben Bradshaw mocks Government’s plans for marriage equality
